Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might recall one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. He raked in a large pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best enthusiasts around the world. While gambling on net poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. Gus frequently plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy-in of $40, 000. Hansen frequently buys in for the minimum of $16, 000 and plays very weak. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then pushes all in. I know Hansen is a great poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has no reason to play at the game with the min buy-in.
