Web High Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen had a wonderful year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to make it to the closing poker table in three of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may remember one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen won a large pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest bettors in the world. While participating in net poker, a different side of Hansen has been seen. Gus frequently plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus generally buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I accept that Hansen is an amazing poker player but certainly not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is broke, he has little or no reason to sit at the game with the minimum buy-in.

Buying in for the min takes almost all of the skill out of big stack poker. Hansen is accepted to be 1 of the greatest poker players in the world but he can’t buy-in for the total amt.. I believe television can alter our view of the real world sometimes. The greatest poker players in the world could be players you have never heard of before. Gus can be found playing internet poker on Full Tilt. He usually participates in high stakes omaha high and texas holdem. Gus Hansen has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his skills in cash rounds?
