Caribbean Poker Rules and Tricks

Online poker has become world famous recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous variants on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with 21 than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a sum on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pays out cash equal to your wager and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
